What is Samsung Care+?

Samsung Care+ is a device protection plan for Samsung smartphones that helps your protect your device against any accidental, physical, liquid or technical damage for up to 2 years. All repairs are carried out by Samsung authorized services centers. Customer can avail any of the following packs under Samsung care+:
  • Extended Warranty - covers technical and mechanical failure for 1 year
  • Screen Protection - covers front screen damage for 1 year.
  • Accidental Damage & Liquid Damage - Covers accidental front and back screen damage & liquid damage for 1 year
  • Comprehensive protection - Covers accidental physical & liquid damage (including screen) and technical or mechanical failure for 2 years.

Q. what is Samsung Care+ and why should I purchase it ?

Samsung care+ brings together a range of benefits that are meant to safeguard your device against any accidental, physical, or liquid damage, technical or mechanical failure. There are four packs custom created for your smartphone. You could pick one of these packs.
  • Extended warranty - 1 yr.
  • Screen only Protection - 1 yr.
  • Accidental & liquid damage protection - 1 yr.
  • Comprehensive protection (ADLD + Warranty) - 2 yr.
Q. What are the benefits of each of the products ?

Extended Warranty extends the warranty of your Samsung mobile phone by an additional year. With this plan, you would be able to enjoy the same service offered during the warranty for an additional year. All technical and mechanical failure of the handset will be covered under this plan.

Screen only Protection covers the damage to the front of your device. with this plan, you are covered for any damage to the front screen for one year for the plan purchase date.

Accidental & liquid Damage Protection as the name suggests, it covers the complete phone from any kind of accidental damage or liquid damage. This plan covers any physical liquid damage to your device for one year from the plan purchase date.

Comprehensive Protection Plan gives you complete peace of mind for 2 years where we protect your phone against any accidental, physical, or liquid damage, technical or mechanical failure.

Q. Where can I buy Samsung Care+ packs ?

You can buy Samsung Care+ packs from any of Samsung Experience Stores, Smart cafes, Select multi brand outlets, Samsung online shop, or My Galaxy.

Q. Can I buy Samsung Care+ pack after I purchase my mobile ?

Extended warranty packs can be bought up to 365 days from the device purchase. ADLD, Screen Protection, & comprehensive protection packs can be bought up to 30 days of device purchase.  

Q. How do I activate my Samsung Care+ pack after purchase ? 

Samsung Care+ packs are auto activated as soon as you purchase the pack or receive the device. You will receive a mail with a policy certificate which is proof of your activation.

Q. Can I buy multiple Samsung Care+ packs for one device ?

No, for one IMEI number, only one Samsung Care+ pack can be bought throughout the life of the device.

Q. When does the validity of Samsung Care+ pack start ?

For Screen Protection, ADLD and Comprehensive Protection Samsung Care+ packs, coverage start from the date of purchase of the pack when bought offline. In case of purchase from Samsung Online shop along with the device, the validity will start from the date of deliver of device to the customer.

For Extended Warranty, coverage start immediately after expiry of standard warranty and will be valid for 1 year.

Q. Do I need to pay while raising a claim ?

Yes, you need to pay a one-time deductible every time you raise a damage claim under Screen Protection, ADLD or comprehensive packs. The cost ranges from Rs. 349 - Rs. 1599 depending on your device model. There is no one-time deductible for extended warranty packs.

Q. Is pick-up and drop facility available for device repairs ?

Yes, you can choose to avail pick-up and drop facility totally free of cost at the time of raising the claim. please note that the facility is available at select pin codes only.

Q. Will I get Samsung Care+ for Samsung phones purchase outside India ?

No, Samsung Care+ is only available for phones purchased in India.

Q. I want to cancel my Samsung Care+, will i get refund on the days remaining ?

No, Samsung Care+ pack once bought cannot be cancelled, and hence no refund is possible.

Q. My device is stolen, can i claim it under Samsung Care+ plan ?

Samsung Care+ plan do not cover theft and loss of the device.

Q. I m selling my phone. can i transfer Samsung Care+ pack to the buyer ?

Samsung Care+ pack is not transferable.

Q. I own a refurbished or a second hand mobile. can i buy Samsung Care+ for my mobile ?

No, Samsung Care+ cannot be purchased for refurbished phones.

Q. I did not get a mail after purchasing Samsung Care+ ?

Please call us on 1800-108-2222 if you don't receive a policy confirmation mail within 24 hours. we will assist you.

Q. What documents should i provide to avail repair service ?

Your policy confirmation mail is the only proof that you required to avail service from the service centre.

Q. How many times can I request for a repair under the plan ?

Under Screen protection, ADLD or Comprehensive protection Samsung Care+ plans you are allowed to raise one (1) damage claim per year.

Under Extended Warranty, You are allowed to raise unlimited number of repair requests (up to the total repair cost is not more than device invoice value.

Q. When can i claim damage protection under Samsung Care+ plan ?

You will be eligible for a claim after 7 days of activation of your Samsung Care+ plan. Device that have undergone unauthorized repair and contain non genuine parts will not be covered under the plan.

Q. How can i check the status of my claim ?

You can check the status of your claim on Samsung Care+ portal in the "Track Request" section. You can login to the portal through My Galaxy app > Service Station > Samsung Care+.
